Stream Failed - Transcoder Exited

Hi,

Im having trouble running v5 on my windows machine, i have just also upgraded to a HDHR adn this is my tuner.

Its finding the tuner fine, getting the channels and epg, it just wont play anything.

I have attached my logs, anyone got any ideas?

It looks like ffmpeg with nextpvr mapping doesn't like the stream

It may play better with a real client (eg NextPVR.exe or Kodi) that doesn't do transcoding.

humm, The problem is with the NPVR Android TV app this is the way i have ended up going, and all the apps attach through the web server.
the other users (we know who i mean) doesn't like kodi..

With the right Android client you might be ok with Direct Play which doesn't use transcoding.

Also If they don't like Kodi, you can consider knewc UI client in Kodi with the NextPVR interface.

Another possibility would be to make a quick recording and use CutChunk http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...y.CutChunk to get the first 100MB of the file and put a link on the cloud to see what might be the problem.

Are you having the same issue playing a recording in the web app? If so, if you can supply a sample recording, I'll check out what it's unhappy about.

I don't have any recordings yet as this is on a clean install. Ill see if i can manipulate an old recordings backup XML and import it

OK, recordings in and work fine... and im not sure what you mean by send you a recording, do you mean the .ts file?

Yes a ts file, but you don't need the whole file that is why I suggested CutChunk. Typically people use links to OneDrive, GoogleDrive etc.

Ok, my bad, i missed your previous message and was replying to sub. As i say, recordings are working just fine so i dont think its worth sending a sample.
Im getting the same issue with v4 and v5...

When you try viewing live tv, you should get a log file created in C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\web\temp. Zip and attach that log.

Ok I just tried playing through the HDHR software, i hadn't installed it and that was failing too, i moved the HDHR box away form the back of my PC (I know not ideal but power cable lengths were a struggle) and its started playing some channels on both NPVR and HDHR.

I think this may have been a waste of your time... my bad, ill clean up the RF environment and keep playing.
