DOes anyone have experience with the NextPVR transcoder and whether it uses ffmpeg? When NextPVR does need to transcode (like streaming to the web app), it does use FFmpeg. It has confirmed working hardware acceleration for Intel graphics. The most recent release also include FFmpeg options for AMD hardware acceleration, but still waiting for feedback from users on this. I'm not anticipating any problems on the AMD hardware acceleration support front.
I would have gone with AMD Ryzen 5 3400G 2 months back as my main new media server but unable get one because at that time they where being price gouge to over $200 so I end get i3 9100 and was replace my AMD A10-5800K which all most done Hell Yeh I can't to bring it online soon last part get here
And from I have heard so far intel quick sync is supposedly has better support under under linux
I can test NextPVR under my gaming box as it has AMD Vega 56 if like sub
