I am a UK user and wanting to capture some DAB radio channels.
Please can you recommend what PC capture cards would you recommend will work with nPVR?

Thanks

Are you already using NextPVR for TV?  If not, it might be that you will get the best result using the software that comes with the DAB device.  Are the radio channels that interest you available via TV broadcasts?

Already use nPVR on my PC.
Radio channels not reliably available on internet.
Don't have any DAB device currently.

Thanks for the reply.

It is likely that most (or all) devices will work (on a Windows machine).  You best bet is to find one or a few and post again asking us to give an opinion if this or that specific device is likely to work.

As requested:
Sonifex PC-DAB DAB+ PCIe Radio Capture Card - 1 Ensemble - PC-DAB1-4
Their support says that 'any application that records from standard wave input devices can be used to record the audio streams from the DAB+ Radcap' - If nPVR makes use of standard Windows audio drivers it should be OK ,they say.
Anyone had experience of this card or any other DAB card I can use?

Thanks

And for only 1,000 euros ... I am way out of my comfort zone ... Wink ... https://broadcaststoreeurope.com/shop/93...-ensemble/

There must be a better (i.e. less expensive) way!

Well thats what I thought.

What about a USB-type device like a Realtek RTL2832U Radio & TV Dongle?

That's more like it ... less than a tenner ... Martin might be able to help with some wise words about SDR

I have the pleasure of using the Sonifex AM and FM multi-tuner radio cards in my day job. They're absolutely crappy and I'd stay away from them.

Because of the way the use wave input devices, if you use remote desktop to connect to the machine, the tuners will stop working until the next reboot. They do continue to work with VNC connections, because it doesn't redirect the wave devices.

It wouldn't surprise me if these devices are not accessible from a service. I've never tried though, so don't know for sure though.

About half of them have had to be sent back to Sonifex to be repaired.
