NextPVR upgrades

With a production version NextPVR likely being released soon I am curious what the user feelings are at this stage. Please feel free to add specific comments

everything works for the most part except for the over internet to android client which quits after about 25 to 30 minutes so I'm letting sleeping dogs lye.

I'm more than pleased with it. V4 worked great for me and I can't say 5 is other than the ease of use, that I actually notice any difference but, I've been extremely happy with v5. I hope sub doesn't mind if I mention to those who can, to donate. I don't need to mention how much work he does to not only put this out but to answer all our questions (and Martin too, of course).

Just a couple of relatively minor issues:

- Alt-F4 does not exit the desktop app.
- The web app can't seem to make up its mind about when to ask for the login: Sometimes when the page is first brought up and other times only after I try to do something like settings. Need some consistency.
- Still need more testing about using a Harmony 650 remote with FLIRC to run Knewc on a RPi4 Linux Raspbian system. How to do the keyboard Home key is a mystery.

There's more, but I would sincerely hope that V4 is not abanodoned any time soon.

I didn't want this to be a support thread but for knewc the wiki keyboard reference shows the Home being mapped to the Info key if that helps

I agree 100% that web login prompt is the most annoying thing in v5. Basically what you see isn't what you get if you restart the browser, or wake from sleep and it is open in the guide because you aren't really logged it . That being said the setup programs in v4 was probably harder to use and the browser isn't something I actually use often since I use other clients.

Right you are. Fixed for the next build.

It actually shows for the login the very first time the browser asks for a page. Sometimes the browser shows you a cached page though, rather than asking the server for a page, which is why sometimes you get a page or two before you see the login. I'll take a look at the cache headers to see if I can stop the browser from caching pages.

We are pretty much at the end of the road for v4. I'll continue to have it available for download, and will help people out with problems over maybe the next six months or so, supplying the occasional patch for a problem, but there is no new features being developed for v4.

FYI, I'm adding a 'remember me', so that the user doesn't have to continue to login to the application all the time.

Will definitely upgrade when it's a 4=> upgrade install. I tried the stand-alone and there's not really a lot that I do in v4 that I need in v5. Not keen on running both, hence the wait.
