New install - Web browser failing with Streaming Failed (transcoder exited)

Hi,
I've just upgraded from v4 to v5. I removed v4 first then set up v5. Initially I had problems with Firefox with autoplay disabled. I have now enabled it for localhost:8866 and it works for BBC1. I am still getting a failure with Dave where the browser says "Streaming Failed (transcoder exited)" and I can't work out what to do. I've tried searching but failed. The set up is all on the one Win10 machine, browsing on localhost. Logs are attached.

What happens when you record a show on Dave?  Can you play the recording in the NextPVR web app?  Do you get a file in the recording folder?  Can you play the recording file using some other player software?  Thanks.

Yes, it looks like I can play the recorded file in VLC and the web app. I just can't watch the channel directly. The desktop app works fine.

I don't know ... but it may be a reception issue.  NextPVR Server transcodes video that it sends to the web app to create a stream that is acceptable to any and all browsers.  The transcode process may be stalling or otherwise failing on Live TV if the broadcast stream is a bit dodgy.  Recordings are not transcoded before being written to disk so you get a good recording file.  The recording is transcoded when sent to the web app but the video stream is read from a file on disk so there is no stalling.  Recordings and Live TV are not transcoded when sent to NextPVR Player (nextpvr.exe).

Could you save the live file that is made when attempting to do this. You have to be fast because it gets deleted a few seconds after the failure

After days of smooth running ... I am now getting the same error ... I expect that I have changed something and forgotten about it ... Hopefully the attached is relevant.

PS ... I have uninstalled and re-installed recently ... I can't remember if I have watched Live TV since the re-install.

Graham the file is small and the data is late arriving in it I suspect NextPVR needs to wait a bit longer to give ffmpeg a better chance of decoding it. Using a direct play client would be better.

Where does it save its files when viewing live?

You currently have them saved in C:\Users\Public\Videos
