no tuner on devices tab quad-hd PCIe

Hello,


Been going over the install and got NextPVR installed on my server. Currently running Hauppauge Quad-HD tuner on Ubuntu 16.04. this is detected out of the box on the plex media server which i have installed on the same computer.

I've removed the tuners so they are not in use and stopped the service on the plex media server

I've have installed the .net core 3.1, fw for the tuner. but still don't see any devices..

Post the logs and we'll take a look.

Did you use the deb installer? You might need permissions to open devices.

First i tried sudo apt install ./nextpvr-helper.deb --install-recommends

once that i didn't work i removed it nad tried the dpkg

i've attached the log for the dpkg install

It still doesn’t see the tuner. You mentioned granting permission to to the tuner?

I saw this in the application log.

Yeah, that doesn't look promising

Maybe try installing the dvb-tools package
