It's a bit of hack, but you could try copy /opt/nextpvr/system/DeviceHost/x64/libdvbv5.so.0 to /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu, replacing the existing link that would usually live there (which would currently be pointing at libdvbv5.so.0.0.0). You can always remove and re-add the original package to get back to how you were before hand (or recreate the link to libdvbv5.so.0.0.0)
I just tried this in a 16.04 vm, and it got rid of the dvb_dev_open error message. This was a vm, so didn't have any devices attached, but at least let the discover run though, which is a positive sign.

Rather than doing what sub just suggested what does this (all one line)
Code: LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/nextpvr/system/DeviceHost/x64/ /opt/nextpvr/system/DeviceHost/x64/DeviceHostLinux -discover show you, that should do the same thing. if that fails does this show it is loading the NextPVR supplied library Code: LD_DEBUG=libs LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/nextpvr/system/DeviceHost/x64/ /opt/nextpvr/system/DeviceHost/x64/DeviceHostLinux -discover Also note if you have deleted the file just install the deb file again. So i did a full backup/ cloned my Drive, and upgraded to 18.04, then nextpvr did see the devices right away. Tonight i can try to put back the 16.04 drive and try the workaround and see if that works.
