Cannot connect between Kodi and NextPVR

Hi,

I've installed Kodi v18.6 x64 with NextPVR addon (frontend) v3.3.19 and NextPVR backend v5.0.4.200428
NextPVR service is working at Port 8866 and pin to 0000

Still NextPVR cannot find Kodi as a device and connect with it ?

Any suggestions ?

BTW is NextPVR frontend supposed to give me a menu or buttons to live record streams while I'm watching them ?
I'm not seeing any buttons or menus of it at the frontend (Kodi player) at all

Have you setup any channels in NextPVR? Those screenshots don't look like it. If you don't have channel setup in NextPVR, then you're not going to see any in Kodi.

It sounds/looks like you're trying to do the reverse of what the PVR addon does. The PVR addon in Kodi lets you see NextPVR recordings and LiveTV channels IN KODI. If you want to see stuff from your Kodi library in NextPVR, then you have to look at importing those media files into NextPVR. There is no way to see the Kodi library in NextPVR.

What I'm looking for is a frontend option to record LiveTV on demand (record button w/stop button)
and on timer (set time on/off) in my Kodi player screen and in my Kodi LiveTV channels guide.
I don't mind playing these recordings in or out of Kodi.

How it typically works, is that your install NextPVR, then head to the Settings->Devices screen, and click the device you want to setup. In your case, I think you're trying to do IPTV, so click the IPTV device. Hit the 'Import' button and enter your m3u/xml urls, to import the channels (and probably use the filter drop down to select the subset of channels you're actually going to use), then save the channels. After this, you should have channels available in NextPVR, and when you next start Kodi, the channels from NextPVR will also be available there.
