Lost password

I managed to lose my password after a manual install.
I followed an instruction sheet to install. I dont know much about Linux, which i am just learning.
I changed the password and am surprised that what I thought I had changed it to is not correct!


I have found my config.xml file after seeing on here that you can edit it to reagin access

the relevant area says:

<Username>admin</Username>

    <Password>1cfbe7d2b5a6abb8c967813985f161c8</Password>


does anyone know how I can reset the password?

actually, it was fine! My keyboard had caps lock on!

But nevertheless it is a question which would be interesting to learn the answer to.
