I hope that I'm able to explain this properly. The last time that I used NextPVR it was GB-PVR. Great that you're still around after all this time.

I installed V5.04 a ew days ago on a machine that ended up being not powerful enough. I had everything working but it was too slow.

Yesterday, I tried to re-install on another machine. I started from scratch and didn't realize that there had been update in-between so my new install was 5.05.

I wasn't able to install IPTV as a device. During setup, I clicked on Groups to get rid of the foreign languages. A box popeed out and I was unable to uncheck all of the Groups as I was unable to move down the list.

'When you click on the list, if you try scroll down, the window underneath moves and you can't  move down the list. I tried Pg Down, the scroll whell on the mouse and the arrow keys

I unchecked as many as I could, thinking that I could go to Channels and get rid of the rest, but I cou;dn't save anything.

Mod - please move if this isn't the correct place to post.

Thank you

It's not really clear what you're describing as the problem here.

Make sure you're using a modern browser, like Chrome or Firefox or Edge. Definitely don't use Internet Explorer. You may also have to press Ctrl-F5 to try forcing your browser to refresh the page. It's also a good idea to use the 'remember me' checkbox - it can solve some issues with browser's using stale sessions.

The web application, which is used for configuration etc, is designed to be driven by a mouse. If you're looking for a keyboard which can be controlled with a keyboard like NextPVR v4 (or even GBPVR), then you can use the NextPVR Client (nextpvr.exe) that was installed along with the app. It can be used after the initial configuration is done in the web app.

FYI, when you first import IPTV channels, there is a dropdown list you can use to select the groups you want to import, before you click 'save' to save the channels. This is the best way to filter out the numerous groups you're not interested in.

I found a workaround. Since i had everything set up in my other computer, I copied npvr.db3 to my new installl andf it is working.

i'll try to explain again. So, I entered the information for my m3u and epg. Everything imported ok, but there are a lot of foreign language channels that I don't want. These are alll in channel groups. I was able to easily delete these in 5.0.4. The computer running 5.0.4 was just too slow, so I decided to use a different one and did fresh install. The upgrade to 5.0.5 came out in-between so the new install was on that version. Windows 10 and Chrome are right up to date.

I set up my USB tuners and that was fine. When I tried to set up the IPTV device, everything was OK until I tried to delete the channel groups that I didn't want. I clicked to open the drop down list and started to remove the groups that I didn't want. The list is long since there are a lot of groups. I got down so far on the list and I couldn't scroll down anymore. When I tried to scroll, the items on the list weren't moving. The screen underneath, with the list of the channels that had been imported into the device was moving. The scroll isn't working on the list where you uncheck the groups that you don't want. I had managed to uncheck all of the groups that were visible so I tried to save it. I thought that I would just go over to Channels in the settings and delete the rest of them. I clicked save, but nothing happened. It didn't save any channeos at all. If I didn't try to remove any groups, I could save the imported list. The list is massive. There are about 30,000 entries, so deleting indivdual channels is really not an option. I only need about 850 of them.

I was able to remove the groups without a problem in 5.0.4 so something happened with the new version. I'm OK since I just drropped the npvr.db3 file from the computer running 5.0.4 into the new install..

I'm actually really happy. I had a lot of old Haupauge tuners that had been sitting in a cupboard for years. They wouldn't work with Plex and I have every single one of them wo9rking now.; So thank you for that.

I just checked, and groups are still deleting fine here. If you want to post the logs after trying to delete some, I'm happy to take a look.

In general, the best thing to do with IPTV is to tick the groups you want to save at import time. It's much quicker and easier than having to delete them later. ie, you'd often do the import and then just tick, for example, 'USA channels', and 'UK channels', then it save. The rest of the channels and groups would then never be imported in the first place.

The screenshot below is from a digital tuner, but the same filter drop down is there with IPTV. You can just untick the 'select all' option, and it'll deselect all the groups. Then just tick the two or three groups you want to keep.

Also, just be aware that going to the Settings->Channels, Advanced Tools->Channel Groups, then deleting the channel groups is only deleting the groups - it's not deleting the channels. All the channels are still there. (so it may not be doing what you think it was doing)

I might have misunderstood ... but I think that he is saying that the list of groups ... shown in your screenshot beginning "Select All", "Digital Channels, etc, ... is, for him, longer than the window (i.e extends lower than the "Save" button) and the list does not scroll.
