Good to hear. You wouldn't have been expected to know that. I guess I could use a json file to avoid that but I don't see the value.

The final piece of the documentation is you can now delete NextImport.log (or view it first to see what was added) since it will become a permanent and unnecessary part of your future logs uploads.

Cool, I'll give this a try tomorrow some time also. I used the sqlite scripts to copy the v4 db3 data to my v5 db3 file, but the recording info (EPG descriptions) don't show up in the Videos preview. They do show up on the OSD once the recording playback is started. All new v5 recordings' info shows in preview fine, it's just the v4 recordings so I figure something is missing in the db3 somewhere and hope this takes care of it.

That doesn't sound like a database issue at all, more like the typical UI client lag using the Video library or the "new" skin. Also NextPVR will have to download new art for v4 recordings and that will be slower especially when they aren't linked to the v5 SD art downloading logic.

Is "Estuary" the "new" skin? Is there a better skin to use? I do have fanart disabled in the skin settings.

By UI Client lag in the Video Library, is that to say the EPG recording info might show up eventually?

Estuary is for Kodi nothing to do with knewc. Sub introduced a new recordings screen years and years ago, it is more like a list. I don't use it to remember all the differences but I found it buggy and it lags a lot in UI client.

Old EPG recording may show up if the cache catalog file doesn't exist or the catalog file doesn't indicate that the file can't be filed. For performance UI client will not send art with each screen press so if you stop scrolling it might come up in a second or two. The NMT was better for these incremental updates but it would lag too.

Different skins, got it. I didn't know if the Kodi skin selection had some background effect on the UI client.

From what I can tell, all the old/v4 recordings have EPG info in the db3 file (thanks to your sqlite scripts!), but it only shows up once I start playback of the recording on the OSD (ALT-B or blue button on remote). In the Recordings Library (file/folder type view) the info area is blank. All new recording made under v5 show the EPG info both in the Recordings Library and in the OSD during playback. I didn't completely understand your explanation above, but it sounds like the info for the Recordings Library view is in the catalog file? And this file doesn't exist for the v4 recordings? It doesn't appear to be a lag issue as I can stop scrolling in the Recordings Library and leave a v4 recording selected for 10 minutes and no info is ever displayed. When I scroll to a v5 recording the info populates immediately.

Thanks,
-Brad
