Cannot playback live TV via NPVR add-on

Hi All!

Can anyone please provide a clue on how I can resolve the below issue?

Trying to watch live TV in Kodi 18.7x64 + NPVR add-on 3.3.20 + NPVR backend 5.0.6 (on the same machine) under Win 10 x64 with the latest updates. Backend is configured so that I'm able to watch TV stream in the NPVR client. In the add-on's settings I'm using default settings with either localhost IP or explicit IP of the machine.

It doesn't appear that you tuner is locking onto a signal

Does this device work on the software that came with your card?

Yep, it does. I could observe it's working with the ArcSoft TotalMedia (the original soft came with my USB DVB-T2 stick), with MediaPortal2+Kodi (I've got some related issues - https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threa...ck.140007/ - that force me to seek for options) and with the NPVR client software as well.

Make sure that Arcsoft and MP aren't locking the device. The scan seemed to lock so sub will have to provide additional support on this one.

Actually, I have no ArcSoft TotalMedia installed on my PC at the moment (had it installed only for testing purposes immediately after purchasing the stick). Regarding MP, currently I have the appropriate service stopped (NPVR backend wouldn't work otherwise). Additionally, I can completely remove it from the PC and try. I'm providing updates as soon as I remove the MP.

Perhaps when you removed Arcsoft you may have removed a component that Windows needs for BDA support. Did you scan before or after you removed it?

Can you temporarily try changing this channel name to only use english characters, to see if it makes a difference?

Eventually, I have re-installed Win 10 from scratch, so there're no traces of ArcSoft should be.

On brand-new system I have installed drivers for the dvb-t2 stick, mp2 stuff, Kodi, and then (after I noticed flicker and couldn't fix that) NPVR...

Regarding the national alphabet, I'll give it a try. Thank you!

Guys, wow, that appeared to be a point! Have removed the mp2 and renamed several channels: the channels renamed are played back quite well. The rest with names in national alphabet are still unavailable.

There is two different bits of logic that need to convert the channel name to a block of binary data. Both bits of logic need to produce the same result. One is written in C++, and one written in C#, and unfortunately I've seen a couple occurrences of the code tables in each of these two programming languages giving a slightly different results.

It does actually works for most national characters, but I haven't explicitly come across a Russian user trying this, so I had a suspicion it may relate to this. If I can find some time later today, I'll try renaming one of my channels to 'ПЕРВЫЙ КАНАЛ', so I can take a closer look.
