Nightly recording of news, 6:30PM.  Two channels.  Both stopped at same time (recording service died?).  Had to clear recording and restart.

Log files attached.

That's a new one trying to open a device on port zero. Hopefully sub can figure that out.

And again.  8:14 into a recording.  Frustrating.

Your PC is going to sleep while recording

2020-07-15 18:27:00.272 [DEBUG][9] About to start recording (11386 on 20): M:\NextPVR\NBC Nightly News With Lester Holt\NBC Nightly News With Lester

2020-07-15 18:35:17.398 [DEBUG][140] stopping device process

Are you sure you aren't forcing sleep? Also maybe a bit more detail to go with the log so we don't have to guess what file you are talking about.

The logs say you started watching Live TV after that point. Sub does have to look into handling that OnResume reset of an in progress recording and you need to check the windows event viewer to see if there were any sleep event around 18:35

I am happy to post any event info, but my logs seem to only go back until late last night.

Normal process is news starts recording at 6:27. We start watching, via timeshift around 6:35.

Strange my windows event logs can go back until I clear them. I was suggesting that you check them since NextPVR is clearly seeing a resume command.

So it did it again tonight.  5:12 into the recording.  And I noticed that the app says it is still recording, even though the tray app knows it isn't.

When we realized it had stopped, we switched to Live again.

I'm not very experienced in looking at the Windows event viewer, but I do see an error that seems to be at that time.  I've attached it as well as the logs.

Further info that may help. TV is off, computer is asleep prior to recording beginning. I turned on TV a few minutes after 6:30 (cannot say it was exactly 5 minutes from recording start or not). Mouse wakes up screen, I go into NextPVR and pick Recordings and then the news recording. Same I do every night, and same way I get into things if I wasn't watching prior to any other recording starting. Of interest to me is that no other error like this has happened except when watching the news.

I did notice that Sub has not responded to any of my posts about this issue, wondering why?

Tonight it made it just over 15 minutes. At this point, it's so unreliable that I need to figure out a fix before Fall TV starts, or try some other solution.
