I,m using NextPVR Web App Version 5.0.6.200614 with a HDHomerun Duo.

When I start to watch a programme using the Web App, a DeviceHostWindows process starts running and transferring data between 30 and 40 Mbs.

However, if I stop watching the programme, log out or close the browser the process continues running and transferring data at 30-40 Mbs.

The only way to stop it is to manually end the process from Task Manager.

Is this the correct behaviour for DeviceHostWindows.exe?

We need your zipped NextPVR logs to check. From the web app it should stop but it is not immediate, it could be about 15 seconds.

Are you sure you aren't just seeing the recording of The Gadget Show or Celebrity Gogglebox

I don't think so, when The recording starts another instance of DeviceHostWindows starts.

If I delete the instance running at 30-40 Mbps the recording carries on OK.

The logs show the live tv getting the stop so that is as far as I can take this

2020-07-17 21:04:58.853 [INFO][4] Got GET request: /stream/stop?handle=1

Do you see anything in the HDHR log at that time?

Some things that may be affecting the process are

1. I'm running a VPN. However, the VPN allows traffic on the LOCAL network WITHOUT going through the VPN.

2. My browser is setup to BLOCK WebRTC traffic.

3. Browser is running in incognito mode.

Where would I find the HDHR log ?

Do you know when the STOP command is sent? Is it when I stop watching live stream, when I log out or when the browser's closed?

Usually via the HDHR web server itself but http://192.168.1.79/log.html might give it.
