Stopcode blue screen when NextPVR Service is running - it suddenly was happening every reboot, while trying to record something. It's not recording now, so the issue is not happening. I suppose it could be one of my tuners is going bad, but remains to be seen. I wonder if someone could help me verify it - the logs I know of are attached. I couldn't get a picture of the screen, as it goes away too quickly. Some info is:
"page fault in non-paged area" and something about emOEM64.sys. I couldn't find any answers online about it. All I know is when a recording was scheduled and active (trying to record, or recording), it was blue screening and rebooting. When I stopped the NextPVR Service, the issue disappeared. Now it seems not to happen because it's not trying to record. Would appreciate some help, tks. OS is Win10, tuners Kworld ATSC UB435-Q V2 on a Dell Optiplex 755.

PS I tried to attach a System Event Viewer save, but it was dropped from attachment. Is this needed, and if so, what format should I save it?

Zip the event viewer log and it if it is over 2MB post a lnk to OneDrive, Google Drive or alternate site.

Those 0 byte nrecord log file could indicate a driver issue and DeviceHostWindows failing.

Also, it did it again a few min ago. I think I can readily duplicate the issue if I'm recording a program and then I watch live, it happens in just a few sec. Don't know if that condition is allowable, but I get the same error. Picture of the blue screen is attached.

More info: I was trying to experiment by exchanging tuners, but apparently the nvpr service is not plug and play. Once it tried to record on a certain tuner, when it was moved, I got blue screen, and it blue screens now on every reboot, even though I put the tuner back to its original USB position. I first removed the tuner it always started on, and then hit "record once," and that's when it blue screened. Apparently nvpr still thinks the hw is there. I forgot to first check settings. But I really don't know how nvpr works in that regard, so I might have to delete the tuner in the settings.

The issue happens 11 sec. after the service starts (which is about 1-2 min. after boot). Since I can't let the service run now (I suppose until the time of recording ends), I've no way to stop the recording in order to do any further experimenting. Well, this is a sure way to duplicate the issue.

Going by the event viewer and the HECIx64 error messages I'd start by looking at checking and reinstalling your Intel video drivers. If that doesn't do it I'd check you tuner drivers. It would be very hard for NextPVR to generate a BSOD.

This type of crash is caused by a bug in a driver. Ultimately there isn't anything NextPVR itself can do about it.

In this case it's in crashing in emOEM64.sys. About all you can really do is find out which device this is part of, and either contact the manufacturer to report the issue, or look for a different version of the driver which doesn't exhibit the issue, or stop using the device.

I finally figured out how to update the drivers to a later version (from 2010 to 2012) which eliminated this problem, so thanks for the help!

Great! This sort of thing can be damn frustrating if you can't find a way around it.
