My source uses standard double quotes. I thought tvg-id/tvg-name were discarded after importing new channels and Auto Map/Auto Merge only relied on channel numbers/names.

When you import an IPTV source, supplying the m3u and xmltv urls, it does the mapping using the tvg-id tag.

It doesn't do it if you later if you try to use the 'automap' because it only knows the tvg-ids when it's importing the m3u. (this information isn't stored in the database, so can't be used later)

Gotcha. There are many issues if you try and reimport as an update. You probably need to only add new ones to get good mapping.
