Hi Guys,        I am new to the forums here but not to NextPVR, I have been using the old setups for a couple of years now, I decided to update to the very lastest V5, all went well as I had decided to uninstall the old one V4 and start afresh, it records fine through a TBS 6284 card and when I click on the recording it plays, however I am unable now to play live tv either through the web app or the desktop app, on the web one I get "Streaming Failed Transcode Terminated" and on the desktop one just a blank screen.

I am running Win 10 Pro fully updated and use a AMD Radeon R9 200 Series 2GB GPU other than no live TV everything is fine.

Is there anything I need to do?

Regards

Keith

First could you change the title to something more generic like cannot play Live TV transcoding is for the web app.

I suspect signal is the real problem maybe check the connections to your antenna

I agree with Martin - it's not sounding like it's related to the transcoder (which is only used for playback in the web app). It may be signal related.

Try doing a recording, and let use know if you end up with a file on disk, and if it looks like a normal size, and can it be played in any player.

Signal seems fine as I can record a tv prog and watch it right after, checked tv cable in in the card and its okay, I went and installed V4 and I get tv pics okay with that.. maybe revert back even as its baffling me.

When you try to watch live tv in the desktop app, it'll create a file called something like C:\Users\Public\Videos\live-BBC 1 Scot HD-15277.ts. Check this type of file is being created, and if it has anything in it.

Delete the files (in case they're old, or unrelated), reproduce the problem, grabbing a copy of the file from that directory while trying to watch live tv, then put the file somewhere for me to download (like dropbox/onedrive etc).

I deleted the 2 files and then went back to try and watch something but no files went into that folder at all and still no picture either

Post the logs showing a new attempt. Let us know what time, and what channel.
