Hello,

I am a generally happy user of NextPVR V5, but today I tried to record a series in Kodi and I got an error:  "Could not save the timer.  Check log for more information about this message".  I did that, and found some additional information:  "NextPVR returned an error:  The command failed.  Code = "2", Message = "Invalid arguments."  I tried to record the series in NextPVR and it failed.  Interestingly, I can record a single instance of this program, but I can't record the series.

Yes, I've done a search and found several instances of this problem here, but no resolutions that I can understand. 

I may have deleted this series awhile back, but I want to add it back to the series' I'm recording now.  I saw something about running a command from the command line, so I tried that.  I couldn't get it to run, probably because I did something wrong.

I have been recording series for several other programs with no difficulties.  It's just this one (NCIS:  New Orleans), for now, that's giving me problems.

I've attached logs from today below.  Thanks very much for any help.

When you try recording it in the web app, do you get an error message?

No.  The program bar in the guide does not turn red, but there is no error message.  I can happily schedule a single instance, in which case the bar does turn red.

There is no Kodi debug log so no Kodi support. Some notes though

- you are using an outdated version of Kodi Leia (18.5 vs 18.9)
- I can see one error from Kodi which I believe is fixed in Matrix. If it is a problem on a modify not create though.
- you should post Kodi problems in the Kodi sub forum here
- Why KEYWORD type?

Actually you may not be doing a keyword search that might how NextPVR backend translates all channel any times. I think in Matrix it is quite different.

This is a NextPVR problem, not a Kodi problem. I encountered the problem in Kodi and supplied it's error information for context.

I tried to schedule this series in NextPVR directly but could not. See my response to sub above

I'm running NextPVR V5 on a windows computer. That's why I picked this forum. I don't know what you mean by keyword type. Maybe I clicked something by mistake.

Ok but your log showed a Kodi issue and I didn't see any other problem. I have tried to duplicate your problem here and the modify to an all channel recording does work.

Hello Martin,

I'm afraid I don't understand what I need to do.  I'd like to go to NextPVR's web interface, click on "TV Guide", find the program I want to record (NCIS:  New Orleans, Sunday, 12/13/20, 9:00 pm CST) click that program, and select "Record Series".  When I do that now, I get no response from NextPVR, and the "puck" for this program does not change to red.  If I choose "Record once", then the puck turns red and, I assume, the recording is scheduled.

Is there a bug in the "Record Series" functionality in NextPVR that prevents this?  I can (and I have) chosen to "Record Series" for several other programs successfully, both in Kodi and totally independently of Kodi, inside NextPVR.

Apologies for being thick.  Thanks for any help.

Duplicate the issue but this time send the log showing it in the web browser not Kodi, as I posted that showed a likely Kodi issue that has been fixed in Matrix. I just tried in the web browser and it worked fine.

You could simply have a tuner conflict on Sunday.

Is it also possible that a recurring recording is being created but the search window is just not turn red because you accidentally deleted this recording.

I moved all logs except nrecord.log to a new folder, then opened the browser, clicked on the TV Guide link, then navigated to the subject program.  I had earlier chosen to "record once".  I chose to cancel that recording.  Then I selected the program again and tried to "record series".  I got the expected "no response".  I then chose to "record once" again.  All this should be captured in the attached nrecord.log file.

I have six tuners.  There is no conflict on that Sunday.  (Or perhaps there should not be a conflict.)

I'm not sure what you mean by not turning red because I accidentally deleted the recording.
