Nvidia Shield app

I have installed the Android App on the Nvidia Shield 2019 pro.  It plays channels and recordings OK from NextPVR 5 installed on my laptop.  However when I go into the guide I can move up and down the guide but when I select a program the app does not let me select Watch, Record Once or Record Series.  It does not do anything so the only thing I can do is back out to the guide without being able to select watch or record.

Is there anything |I can do to enable this as otherwise this is a perfect solution for my shield.

Thank you - I see there has been no solution to this problem so far.

As I have paid for the app is it possible to get hold of a previous version where this worked up to as I believe it was working in previous versions.

Sorry, I don't keep an archive of older versions. I'm pretty the same problems would have happened in previous versions though - a couple of things broke when Google changed things in newest versions of Android TV. Going to a previous version of Android TV would likely fix it.

I'm intending to take another look at this over the Christmas break.

If you could solve it that would be great.  I use the app on my laptop but use the shield to do all the viewing.  Bring able to watch recordings via the shield app would be great.

I am considering purchasing NextPVR.  However, I am using Nvidia Shield for my TV box.

Has the issue regarding watching, recording, etc., with NextPVR been fixed?

 I need these features and will purchase when they have been repaired.

No, the issue has not been fixed for the Nvidia Shield. So, apparently this hasn't been resolved since last year? Is this realistically going to be resolved or should I just request Google store refund? I think it was a good best effort to have this work, but it seems like the app is barely finished. No TV logos on the guide, can't watch or choose to record from the guide, etc.

I have used the NextPVR app for years on my windows machine running kodi. When I switched to the NVIDA Shield I have been able to run kodi fine but the NextPVR client will not install. Any help would be much appreciated.

What do you mean it wont install? This is taken care of by the Google Play store.

Or doesn't it install and run, but doesn't find your server, or something else?
