I searched wiki and the forum, but didn't find an answer.

I did a complete setup today, and scanned for new OTA channels, which there were some. However, in the EPG they don't have the correct programming. I looked into the xmltv.xml file, and those new channels aren't in the file. How do I get the new channels into the xmltv.xml file so that they will have the correct programs per the tv listings website?

You're options include ...

Starting a thread on the forum for the software program that creates the xmltv .xml file.
Subscribing to Schedules Direct.
Relocating to a country that provides decent OTA EPG data.

Jesting aside ... You will be wrestling with problems like this every little while if you continue to use "unofficial" means to obtain EPG data.  Is it time to bite the bullet and switch to Schedules Direct?

You might get help here if you start a thread with the name of the xmltv software in the title (e.g. zap2xml or whatever).  Other users of that software might jump in.

Ok, I didn't know enough to say it. I used zap2xml to get the latest xmltv file that I've been using for at least 5 years, and prior to that I used epg collector. I've been using npvr v.5 for more than a year. Everything was hunky dorey until this week, when suddenly epg update didn't work. I tried to fix it, but then lost localhost, so I reinstalled and re-setup everything, and now it works. But the new channels that appeared aren't giving the correct programming.

I'll accept the implication that the problem is in the xmltv file, since I don't know how that file is correctly filled with the epg data. But I don't know how to fix it, so I need help. Ok, I'll start a new thread with zap2xml in the subject.
