Roku volume level

I was wondering if there is a way of adjusting the volume level for the NextPVR Roku app? The volume level is noticeably lower than other apps.

Has anyone else noticed this?

When you hit the * during playback and check what volume setting you are using and try other options. The app just sends the media and has no control over the volume so that is the only way to control it.

I know my Roku devices are actually much louder then Android devices in the same HDMI connection, but I have note noticed a difference with the apps. I believe you play ts streams but if you remux to mp4 with aac and not copy do you still hear low volume?

Sorry Martin, I was confused. After comparing apps on the Roku TV I found there was negligible difference in volume between them. 

It is actually the Fire TV Stick that has a much higher output in my case. I'll have to figure out the volume control stuff.

Great work on the Roku app. I'm glad I stumbled across it. It actually works very well and very easy to setup. 

I am also experiencing issues with the volume. I have 2 Roku sticks and neither of them will play sound at all. Nothing happens when I tap the * key, but if I hold it I get the config menu which doesn't have a volume option. When I'm in the config menu I get the generic Roku sounds that indicate it's receiving input. 

Any ideas?

The lower end Roku players do not support AC 3 audio so either you need a TV or sound bar that can decode pass through.

If not you will need to transcode audio prior to playback. For live tv that is turning off direct play and for recordings that will be via a post processing script.  I have posted samples is another post.
