Have a couple of new channels I wish to add in via an STB connected to Hauppauge Colossus.
I have changed all the channel numbers to custom numbering, and use xmltv file as source.

How can I add two channels, without changing my working configuration?

ie. The existing channel lineup for the Colossus device, has modified channel numbering, that is different to the default channel numbering in my xmltv source file.
(the xmltv files uses the channel ID's from the epg grabber 'EPG Collector')

NextPVR 5 does not let me export my channel configuration, and seems to obtain it's channel id's from importing them in from the XMLTV source.
So, for me to import the new channels into my configuration, I would have to reconfigure all channels again, and then remap them?.

Can I add two STB channels without doing all the above?
I am guessing I need to edit my xmltv source file with my custom channel assignments?.

I think this is one feature I miss from NextPVR 4. (being able to export and import custom channel lineups)

If I am missing something, would appreciate any tips or shortcuts to achieving the above, without major reconfiguration.

Once the channels are in your XMLTV file, you should simply be able to scan, deselect all, and then select the two channels you want and save. If you are concerned copy your npvr.db3 first.

Thankyou for that tip.
I didn't actually think of doing that.

I thought importing another XMLTV file would eradicate my current channel assignments from my STB, as I had extensively changed the numbering so my
IR blasting would work correctly, and it took me ages to configure.

Also, I had a dickens of a time getting the IR Blastiing working, and I have forgotten exactly what I did originally.
(had to get yours and others help on that last time) (grin)

I will backup my db file and see what damage I can do. (grin)

..cheers..

Update:   Resolved.

Thanks, that worked really well, and I managed to add the 2 new channels to my STB lineup.
