m3u list

Trying to export and m3u list but with out success. Tried the link that I used before todo this, but I get this error: This 192.168.40.148 page can’t be found
No webpage was found for the web address: http://ip:8866/channels
[color=var(--error-code-color)]HTTP ERROR 404.[/color]


Any help would be appreciated.

It changed in V5 to http://IP:8866/service?method=channel.m3u

Additionally if you want to play URLs using this list in VLC or outside a browser, and also play the streams, you will need to turn off security in setting access, noting security concerns on Internet connected instances.

You would need to use the same IP as you use to login to NextPVR in that browser session . The safest bet is to turn off security, but there is no expectation that the browser can render an m3u list.

The setting Martin is talking about is the 'Allow unauthenticated access for streaming Live TV / Recordings' check box on the Settings->Access page.

I get the same error as Max and confirmed the settings to allow access is correct. You can view the page source and see the contents of the m3u though.

Then it is working, as I posted you aren't guaranteed to be able to render an m3u file as html.

Yep, most browsers wont show you the contents of the m3u, since it's not a content type it would normally deal with.

I am sorry if this is wrong place.

I am able to get m3u playlist of all my live channels using http://ip:8866/service?method=channel.m3u as you advised above.
Could you tell me please is it possible to have the playlist of recordings?
I tried http://ip:8866/service?method=recording.m3u , but it doesn't work properly for VLC.
Could you tell me please what should I change in settings to obtain playlist of recordings?

There is a call for this, but unfortunately it only works from logged in clients, so can't be used directly from VLC (since it hasn't logged in)
