Streaming Failed - transcoder exited

Hi,
Today I installed NextPVR (Version: 5.1.2.210601) on a Windows 10 machine (Lenovo IdeaPad 5).

I have a Hauppauge tuner (WinTV-USB2).

(This setup works with Windows Media Center.)



When I try to "watch now" on the web app, I get the message: Streaming Failed - transcoder exited



When I try to "watch now" on the desktop app, I get a black screen.

There is another error that concerns me though.

Yeah...might be worth checking nothing else is using the device, and rebooting.

I copied the patch (the NShared.dll file) into the 2 folders where I found an original:
C:\Program Files\NextPVR
C:\Program Files\NextPVR\client

It didn't help.

BTW, the size of the original NShared.dll files was 992,784 in the first folder and 964,112 in the second.
The size of the new file is 985,088.

How do I check if another process is using the tuner?

You didn't need to copy anything the new version 5.1.2.210603 would have done it for you.

I don't recognize this message but it seems to be the cause.

I uninstalled NextPVR, rebooted, and installed Version: 5.1.2.210603  

Still fails.

I suggest you scan and and then ignore updating the EPG to make sure stations work ok. In general in the US and Canada the OTA guide is not great anyway.
