Hi,

I've tried both pasting the member_token in LocastService.py and I've tried version 0.9.2 and neither have fixed this for me.  I may have gotten things out of order by copying 0.9.2 into the locast folder and then later copying the LocastService.py that needs the member_token.

Running python3 locast.py tells me there is no locastService.py  so I renamed the file from LocastService.py to locastService.py.  Are we supposed to have both with an uppercase L and lower or ...?

Thanks!
Mike

EDIT: Deleted the scripts/locast folder and put 0.9.2 in and ran python3 lcast.py. First time through it said it couldn't modify existing lineup. Ran again and got this: (sorry for pasting here)
Namespace(base=None, default=None, format='smart', reverse=False, stream=False, tune=None)
None
extralocast v0.92

Got external IP xx.xx.xx.xx.
Got location as Portland - DMA 820 - Lat\Lxxxxxxxx

Still the stream fails in NPVR.

O.9.2 doesn't need any editing but you definitely shouldn't have copied over the other file.

Now by doing the install again you are going from scratch so you are being warned that you would need to delete the existing lineup.  I don't think you need to do anything.

Two files with the same filename should not be possible on Windows.  Perhaps you are seeing locast.py and you have the correct version

Please upload your logs and I will tell you the next steps

OK, unfortunate about the lineup since I made 4 of them for multiple recordings. Will give this another go.

Thanks!

BTW - The same file is not the same file in Linux because of case sensitivity. It was my fault it happened that way.

You may not need to change anything if all goes as planned

OK, I'm still stuck on can't modify exiting lineup. I deleted the scripts/locast folder and copied in the 0.9.2 version again. I also deleted anything that had locast in the name from the NextPVR folder. I'm guessing something else needs to be deleted to start fresh.

EDIT: I deleted the "device" out of NPVR and starting fresh. I think this was the lineup issue.

EDIT 2: OK, everything setup correctly, but the stream is still failing.

Just to be clear, upgrading the extra is simply unzipping the zip file over the existing locast folder. If you did make a mistake installing the other py file, just unzip again. The install option is only for installing in NextPVR which you have already done that which is why the warning was coming up. I still need to see the logs since reinstalling was never going to help the problem.

Thanks for the clarification. I have it all setup as it was before, but still getting stream fails. I can attach my logs ,but need to know if there is any sanitizing to do beforehand.

You will have to look yourself, Some people are afraid of their local LAN addresses in the logs.

OK, I've attached my log.  Hopefully this helps because I sure don't know what the problem is.  I have an OTA adapter connected, but I have it disabled in NPVR since it doesn't work well with my antenna.  That's why I moved to locast which was working quite well until this morning I noticed recordings that failed.

EDIT: Zip should be attached now.

You need to attach the zip file that NextPVR creates not the logs themselves.

I am confident the extra will work and I have also joined the locast dev group and applied for a unique client id to use the API to reduce future risks of this in the future.
