I have tried to move my recordings folder from my C: drive to another local drive.

To this I used 'export recordings' to a zip file, moved the Recorded folder to the other local drive then imported the recording xml.

I then corrected the recordings folder in setup so future recordings go to the new drive.

I suspected this may result in duplicate entries which it did, half of which play nothing as the content is not there anymore, but hoped that Npvr would clean itself up somehow but it does not appear to.

I have gone from 150 recordings to 300 and would like some relatively easy way to clean the database up without manually deleting each duplcate entry in Kodi.

Can anyone help please ?

Have you still got your original location, then they'll still be listed there. (rename the original directory, or move them out of that original directory and they should disappear from the list).

Regarding importing the recording list - the xml contains the path to the files. If you've moved the files, you'd need to edit the file to replace the old path with the new path, then reimport.

This is assuming you haven't changed this setting in your config.xml:

<AutoRemoveMissingRecordings>true</AutoRemoveMissingRecordings>

Thanks for the quick reply Sub!

I had edited the xml path prior to restarting the npvr service however what fixed it was I recreated an empty recordings folder in C: drive.
After restarting npvr and using the desktop app to look at recordings the issue was fixed.

I presume if I had just moved the contents of C:\recorded rather than the whole folder it would have worked as expected.
