Start recording again after failure?

Is there a way to have nextpvr start recording again after a stream fails. Is rather a recording be broken into multiple files than for it to quit halfway through.

I agree that would be ideal, but it seems like a  feature that would save a lot of headache if out network drops out or the feed glitches.

Most of the logs I have seen are server-side web server responses not networking. http handles most network glitches and up to 30 second delays. It also becomes a logic question of how many attempts should be made. Often these are because of load and retrying just makes things worse for others. Sometimes it is user error were they don't have enough instances for what they are doing and excessive retries can get users banned from their account until they contact their provider.

Better to send the logs the next time you have a failed recording to see if there is a better explanation.

Ultimately it is up to sub to decide if he wants to implement the feature. Similar comments could be applied to redoing a failed signal from a traditional tuner. Just because you retry won't mean thing will work better the next time.
