Windows client .Net Framework error following update to v5.2.2

Today I updated NextPVR to the v5.2.2.211017 release. The installation appeared to complete without any issues, and I was able to connect to the server using the web client. However when trying to open the Windows desktop client, which is how I usually access NextPVR I got a .Net Framework error as follows. My logs are attached.

If you run "nextpvr.exe -nogl" does it run?

What GPU is in your machine?

Thanks for the VERY quick response.

"nextpvr.exe -nogl" also results in a .Net Framework error (the same I think). The machine has an AMD A10-7078K Radeon R7 processor with onboard graphics cores.

Hmm, your npvr.log ended up empty. Can you try again? You might need to make sure you click on ok on the error, and close the app, so that the log is flushed to disk.

I tried again, but the NPVR.log is still empty. I re-booted the machine after trying as well in case that persuaded it to write to the log.

Just to be clear the Windows client doesn't appear to start at all - at least it never gets as far as displaying the UI, so after clicking OK on the error pop-up there is nothing for me to close.

I am running Windows 10 Version 21H1.

Looking more closely at the error I can duplicate it. You need to change the skin to Slideout in config.xml

<PreferredMenuStyle2>slideout</PreferredMenuStyle2>

Vertical crashes and Horizontal now looks like it needs work.

Well-spotted Martin - the client does run with the skin changed to Slideout. I can certainly live with the different menu style for some time.
