I do have to agree with Martin that the uidroid client on the ONN device and the TiVo Stream 4K makes an excellent NextPVR client. And the remote with the TiVo with the number buttons is great. That has been my go-to, daily driver client since before it was released. Big Grin And if you can get a TiVo for $15 (or even $20 or $25), grab as many as you can!

Kinda wish I knew this before I spent $200 on the best Roku Players. Had no idea the NextPVR app was going to be removed from Roku. This kind of stuff hurts. The folks at Roku don't give a hoot about my opinion.

Just to be clear I am not removing the channel from Roku and would love to keep it there, but Roku is dropping this feature and all similar channels, which has always been to biggest selling point IMO. I have been open about this sitatuion and made more than one post about this. It's the top of the sticky list in the Roku forum here. I am weighing other options after Roku drops everyone but I cannot commit to anything.

I am as frustrated as you too, I spent a good amount of time making what I thought was a pretty good app and don't really want to build a client that uses the Roku user interface. To see that go up in a stroke of a pen is disappointing. I posted my dissatisfaction with Roku when I first was advised, but they are too big to care since they don't get any revenue from this client.

Just curious, will it also be impossible to side load the NextPVR Roku app?

I will explore that if and when the channel expires, however turning on developer mode with the Roku is not like Android https://blog.roku.com/developer/2016/02/...tup-guide/

I got the message "The NextPVR Demo has Ended". Does that mean that Roku Pulled the plug?
