HDHR Quatro Unavailable - unmanaged dll error

When I go into Settings - Devices, it says my HDHR Connect Quatro is unavailable.  When I look in the log, it gives this error:

I have updated unmanaged dll, along with NPVRTSReader5, NextPVRUI and NShared to get fixes.  Should I reinstall 5.2.2.211017, which I cannot do until my wife finishes watching her show.  (Is there a way to tell when a client is watching something?  Way back in the old days with my MVP, there was an addon or something that showed up in the system tray.  I already rebooted on her once today.  Oops.)

There still is a tray app and also a Windows Gadget, but both of them need to be installed. You can also check via the web browser Settings Device Status.

I meant watching a previous recording that isn't currently using a tuner device.  I know how to tell when a device is in use, but I didn't think the things you mentioned would show what I wanted.

I'm not really sure why you'd be getting that. Maybe try installing this Microsoft runtime:

I installed that & restarted the service.  I still get the same error.  I reinstalled NPVR & applied all the previous updates except unmanaged.dll.  Everything was working.  Downloaded a newer unmanged.dll that you had posted on November 5.  (The date on the dll in the zip was October 27.)  Copied it to both directories & restarted the service.  No errors.
