I don't think this is an NextPVR issue, but I wanted to post this as an fyi.
When I exit a recording, there can be a long delay (including a blank screen) before I get back to the recording list. See the 1:10 gap just before the bold item. That recording is on a NAS device (a movies archive directory).
I'm not sure why the file needs to be accessed for the list display, but I just wanted to point out what a side effect might be with a bad network.

Generally when you load the recording list, it checks the file actually exists before returning it in the list (unless you've disabled the behaviour in config.xml). I'm not sure why that would take 1:10 when it goes to access your NAS drive...sounds like maybe it's timing out finding the share or something.

Yes, for some reason this machine is having trouble with the network connection. I had upgraded to Windows 10 Pro from Windows 7 on the same machine (twice now), but haven't tracked down the issue. I still have a few things to investigate.
Is there an NPVR setting I can use in the meantime to work around the issue?

You can probably set <AutoRemoveMissingRecordings> and <CheckForRenamedRecordings> to false in config.xml. With these set to false, you need to be sure to delete the recordings inside the app. It wont know if you manually delete recording files.

Both of these are already set to false. I don't use the AutoRemove because my NAS sometimes is disconnected.

I don’t know then. You might need to work out why your NAS is timing out.

I think I have it sorted.
This is a new W10 machine/user, not on my domain which I'm trying to move away from. I've just added the user to the NAS and now I can move around in NPVR quickly. Not sure why the NAS access wasn't an all or nothing issue. There also was a firmware update on the NAS late yesterday which mentioned some vague access issue fix.

Just an fyi, I later found when doing a ping test, that there often was packet loss.
for example (let this run for a bit from another machine to the server, then Ctrl+C to see if there were any losses reported):
(change this ip address to your server)
ping -t -l 1350 10.8.19.71

After a lot of trouble shooting, I've swapped out the machine and things are running smoothly across the network now.
