First, I just want to make sure I'm running Nlite correct. I downloaded the zip and unzipped it into a folder.  Then I simply ran NLite.exe.  Things of note:

  • it runs, but kinda chunky.  Nav between side-tabs is slow
  • all groups , channels and guide details are pulling from the server correctly
  • A "cmd-style" window opens behind the nlite client, and is  very verbose.  Closing it kills Nlite
  • From the guide, I can select and start watching a channel.
  •    If I maximize Nlite to fit the screen, Nlite crashes.
  •    If I right click on the video, it crashes.
  • While that background window is verbose, I cannot see if and where a log file is being written to.  If I could have found one, I would have attached it

Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks

Martin

Thanks for the quick reply.

Downloaded client.zip and unzipped.  There is both an nlite.application and nlite.exe.
Running the application yielded error Cannot download the application.  The application is missing required files.  Contact application vendor for assistance. (Details button yielded attached log)

Running nlite.exe yielded No NextPVR servers were detected on the network.  No apparent associated log.

Yes you run the exe If your PIN is not 0000 you need to run nlite.exe with the parameter

-server:ip:port:pin

If it's not detecting the server automatically, you can specify it with:

nlite.exe -server:192.168.1.172:8866:0000

where 192.168.1.172 is the address, 8866 is the port, and 0000 is the pin.

Now that you're running the version from client.zip, are you still having issues with maximize, or clicking video etc?

If still slow, what are the general specs of the server?

okay, got the command line correct so that the application loaded and displayed. Again, guide, groups and channels are all pulling down correctly. Then I click on a show on the guide, it pops up the show's detail. I select "Watch", then the screen goes black. No sound, no video. "Escape" takes me back to the guide, so the app hasn't crashed.
Systems is a Del Vostro with i7-3770 @ 3.4GHz with 12 GB RAM and a 1 TB SSD. System is wired ethernet to the route. Client is a Windows 10 i5-8365U @ 1.6 GHZ and 8 GB RAM 500GB HDD

Do you have LAV 32 installed and configured on this client?

Repeat this, then zip and attach the C:\Users\Public\Nlite\logs\nlite.log file
