Keep Tuners Primed

Does the "Keep Tuners Primed" setting keep the tuner captive to the NextPVR server?
I use the WinTV server to tune Channel 4HD, which for some reason is not tuned by the NextPVR server - even though the other channel on the transponder is tuned in.  However, lately, WinTV cannot access the tuner unless I uninstall NextPVR

Yes it does.

You can leave it unticked if you need to use the tuner available to other applications.
