multiple dish 3100

I .. just want to know .. if you have a mutilple dish reciever setup, the IR will hit all of them .. I know there is a remote adress for my 5100 .. don'T know for 3100, but can GB PVR be configure to create the remote adress for each reveiver ?

I have the Dish 301 receivers and am about to add a second tuner. I did some experimenting with the two boxes and when the remote address is changed on one box, the other remote CAN NOT interact with that box anymore. So it looks like changing the remote address makes the actual IR signals different. (good news I think)

Based on that and the fact that I use girder, it would be trivial to simply learn the new codes as well as the even strings that GBPVR uses to change the channels on the two STBs, and I should then be able to control the 2 Dish 301 receivers by using ir codes that should not interfere with each other. (I hope)

I am new at using Girder, but when I have figured this out I will post my solution.
