shared folder router

My router is able to share a usb over the network. Can I use that drive to record with?

Network drives have proven to be a little unreliable in the past. ie, sometimes the connection doesn't come up, so it can't create a file. That said, there are certainly others here that record to network drives. There is nothing to stop you using it as your recording directory. You'd need to make sure NextPVR can write to the share etc (which can be a little more complicated that you'd initially think, since NextPVR is running as a Windows system account rather than just your desktop account).
