Hi All,

I finally upgraded NextPVR on my main media pc to version 5 after about 5 years .[Image: biggrin.png]

I keep getting an ERROR "LoadLibrary Failed With error 87: The parameter is incorrect" whenever I try and start "NextPVR Client"

The EPG will update using the web app.

My Work Horse runs Version 5 without any problems  [Image: biggrin.png]

I can connect to my Media PC via 192.168.1.3:8866 from a Samsung Tablet and my Windows 10 Work horse without any problems.

Edition Windows 10 Pro
Version 21H2
Installed on ‎9/‎07/‎2020
OS build 19044.1526
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4170.0

Hope You can help.

2 sets of logs attached ... logs-20220212-2023 prior to attempting to run NextPVR Client

and logs-20220212-2025 was after

NOTE: I use "Remote Desktop" to access 192.168.1.3 (no spare monitor and no space)
Regards,
Mark

Instead of RDP, consider the nlite client https://www.nextpvr.com/client.zip

Searching RDP that is a common error running graphics and looks like you might need to configure the graphics driver. Running nlite over the network will be much better for you.

Great. Just to clear, you're not running NLite via remote desktop though right?

I'm not really sure. Next step might have been able to run "nextpvr.exe -nogl" to see if it helped. Honestly, running nlite from your client PC is a better idea though.

Hi Sub,

"Great. Just to clear, you're not running NLite via remote desktop though right?"

I actually logon via remote desktop and run NLite or the NextPVR Web App.

I tried your "next step" from a command prompt (as Administrator and normal user), still no go! Sad

I was thinking like sub that I forgot to explain nlite fully. You don't need to run nlite via RDP, you don't need to connect RDP at all, you can install nlite on the remote PC.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for that bit of info.
I have been using FireFox to connect to the remote NextPVR  (http://192.168.1.3:8866/)

I will have to try NLite via a remote connection

Hi Martin,

I unzipped the NLite Client to my Work Horse (192.168.1.2) -> C:\Tmp\NLite.

I then ran NLite.exe  located in C:\Tmp\NLite\client. It connects to my Work Horse (192.168.1.2).

How do I configure it to connect to my Media PC (192.168.1.3)  Confused (is it possible ?????? )
Regards,
Mark
