Safe update to new version

Hi,

Could someone explain how to make a safe update to the new v5.2.7.2204106?

What folders/registry etc. must be preserved in order to be able to fallback to the previous version in case of troubles?

I have a functional v5.2.6.220206 and I would like to be on the safe side in case of problems.

Completely backup the program folder and the data folder and reinstall them if necessary. I won't worry about the registry. They do need to be kept in sync.

I have been using NextPVR and GBPVR before it for more than 15 years including pre-release versions and data has never been an issue and sub has quickly fixed the rare regressions.
