Question to Hauppauge about HDTV MVP

Anyone find another device that supports HDTV yet? I know that gbpvr does not support anything but the media mvp but maybe we can start looking into the api's of another box.

Currently we have no products which support HDTV. New HD products are in
early stages of development with release dates at least a year from now.
There are no details available on which models will be affected or which
features will be supported.

I am a very happy owner of 2 mvps and one of your 250MCE capture cards.
However I am starting to look at HDTV and realize that the MVP can not
support it. Have you considered or are working on the next generation MVP
that supports HDTV and mabye some additional formats (xvid, divx, mov)...
Which ever have free decoding licenses. I know there is a wireless mvp
coming out soon will that support anything new like hdtv?

The Roku Photobridge HD looks interesting:

It has an open API, so presumably there is documentation and
support for someone who wants to build a GB-PVR HD client.

It's still not great, but the price is actually $299 - the extra $100 is if you want to buy the "gallery edition" (ie. the standard player is accompanied by a compact flash card with some background pictures on it).

In fact, as the MediaMVP is still around US$190 here in NZ, the difference isn't quite as bad (of course the local price will probably be double that $299 - edit: you can ignore that "probably" - the Australian supplier doesn't have the PhotoBridge listed yet, but have the SoundBridge M2000 model for US$773 as opposed to its original US$399, so ordering the PhotoBridge direct from the US site would be cheaper - the $78 shipping charge will undoubtedly be less than the $200 supplier mark-up).

That markup is horrible. We can just ship them to you for a lot less. My MVP was 80
