When first testing NextPVR on Ubuntu I added several devices (IPTV) and got like 30k+ channels from them, now I've decided to use only one service with only 2,000 channels for all recording purposes so I would like to remove all of the rest from my set up.

I've tried removing the channels by going into Settings -> Channels select batches and click the remove icon, this is done correctly but when I go into the device and add all the channels again but they continue from the numbering from before. Is there a way to delete a channels folder/file while the service is down which will allow me to have a clean slate device and channel wise?

Thanks for your response.

Go to the Setting->Devices screen, hold the Ctrl key, and click the 'delete' button that appears next to your IPTV device.

When reimporting your m3u8/xmltv, use the filtering, so that you only import the channel groups you're interested in, as described in this recent post: https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid574381

I see. Thanks.

Is there a way to stop the service, delete a configuration file/folder to have a clean slate when I restart the service again?

If you used the deb installer sudo apt purge nextpvr-helper

Your problem is unrelated to the problem described above in this post. You will probably need to post the logs so we can see what is happening.
