It happened again and this time I didn't get good logs.  Sad After the failure by kodi to play a channel I quit kodi right away without trying to play the channel again.

Hours later the idle server had not slept as nextpvrservice still had active power requests.

The two live-*.ts and map files for the failed channel were still lying around. I couldn't even delete the two files manually as Windows said nextpvrservice  had them open. Restarting the NextPVR service manually fixed this.

"Live stream expired without 15 second renewal" error was again in the log. There appears to be a code path when this timeout occurs where the live tv .ts and .map files and power requests are not cleaned up.

I'm pretty sure I've fixed this for the next build.

I too have had the same "wont sleep" issue for the past months. My solution was to ask people to reboot the computer every time they finish watching nextpvr and then the computer is normal. Cant wait to see if its solved now. Thank you.

As I said earlier it now appears to sleep reliably after watching live tv or recording from timer.  On the other hand I recently used control K to set a manual recording of a show. After the show was over I noted the PC would not sleep and I had to reboot.  Is it possible the code around control K is different from the others or is it just a fluke I experienced?

My computer still won't sleep after watching live TV with NextPVRClient. I even formatted and reinstalled windows and a fresh install of 6.1.4.230625 and NextPVRServer.exe won't ever release the wakelock in powercfg if I use NextPVRClient. I started using Kodi for TV as the computer sleeps as expected after using it.

C:\WINDOWS\system32>powercfg -requests
DISPLAY:
None.

SYSTEM:
[PROCESS] \Device\HarddiskVolume2\Program Files\NextPVR\NextPVRServer.exe

AWAYMODE:
[PROCESS] \Device\HarddiskVolume2\Program Files\NextPVR\NextPVRServer.exe

EXECUTION:
None.

PERFBOOST:
None.

ACTIVELOCKSCREEN:
None.
