Just upgraded to latest version from the last V5 version and now I get nothing.  Can't tune live or record anything.

This still appears to be a problem.

Have 2 separate computers running their own NextPVR.  They share a Hdhomerun prime as their tuners.  Previously on v5 never had a problem with conflicts prior to v6.  Appeared like NextPVR would just use a different tuner if one was occupied by the other machine.

After v6 update if one computer using a tuner then other machine doesn't seem to be able to access even though 2 tuners are unused.

Logs are from machine failing to access tunner.

Nothing has changed on this front in v6.

With the 'HDHR' style device, it always tries to use a specific tuner. You probably just got lucky in the past, and have only just noticed it. You might want to adjust the order of the devices, so they're less likely to try using the same tuner at the same time. (or just setup NextPVR on a single machine, and just run a client on the other machines you want to access it from, so that the tuners will always be available when NextPVR needs them)

It is extremely unlikely that I've gotten lucky in the past. This is years of use between the 2 machines not knowing what the other was doing. Literally the day I upgrade to v6 this starts happening.

Client is not an option because NextPVR does not support user profiles.

Is there any way I can download the last v5 version and test?

I agree there was a change in v6 In v5 after the 804 on both livetv and recording NextPVR did try the other tuner on failure. Here is an example with live tv.

Code:
2022-12-01 10:57:36.998    [DEBUG][18]    Requesting: http://172.16.3.83:5004/tuner1/v4.1

in v6 it does not it loops for too long time on the same tuner.

Hmm, ok that is a difference. It just trying the same tuner over and over though, rather than looking for another available tuner.

In the case of a recording, if the first device it tried failed, you should still get a message something like "Looking for second chance device to perform recording..."

I don't think Live TV has ever looked for a second device if the first one failed.

No I see the loop on recordings too. The logs above show live tv trying a second tumer in v5
