PC Alchemy 150MCE w/ MCE remote

I made the mistake of ordering two 150MCE l.p., of course I didn't know the low profile referred to the slot size, I thought it was the board size. So now I need to return them. So on PC Alchemy I found this combo, and of course I'd add a second 150MCE. I want to know if this remote will work or if I need the USB-UIRT deal and use my Hauppauge remote or need Girder.

Help...

Thanks... Or I guess the USB-UIRT has the ability to accept the Hauppauge signals and use them w/in GBPVR? I haven't used any remotes up until this point that I'm building a dedicated PVR. I feel as though a wireless keyboard/mouse is not going to cut it though.

If you're going to send your PVR150MCE Low Profile back, why dont you just get the retail version. GB-PVR is designed around this remote.

You mean the normal pvr150? I have one now... Can I put 2 or 3 'regular' PVR150s into the box and only use ONE IR receiver that comes with the cards? What will happen when I change channel? I assume it will only change the channel on a 'free' card that is not recording? If so, I can do that! It's not much more for the PVR150s.

The IR hardware will only work on one of the devices, but this will be enough to control everything. You just have to find which one its working on.

I stopped using the Hauppauge remote and got the MCE 2005 remote. The IR blasters and remote work great, specially in conjuction with Girder.
