Android TV vs Chromecast with Google TV vs Apple TV

Of Android TV, Apple TV and Chromecast with Google TV which is the best option to use to use NextPVR on other TVs. I don't know much about Chromecast with Google TV. I am told that it has the ability to install apps, the same ones as Android TV.

Google TV is primarily a launcher with a different look then generic Android TV.  For comparison Amazon Fire TV is another launcher with UI based on older Android.

CCwGTV and AppleTV are h/w devices while Android TV is an OS so impossible to directly compare them.

Sub wrote Android and Apple TV apps for NextPVR and they are similar but different.  If you like NextPVR.exe uidroud gives the same look and feel on any Android devices but there is a huge range in prices $20 to > $200 for them.  Apple TV is not cheap either but it has high end features.  NextPVR recordings aren't too demanding so for the you don't need too much h/w.  If Kodi is important to you you would need to jailbreak an Apple TV to install it

Is the app available for all three or just Android and Apple TV?

Sub's app is available for purchase on the Apple App Store and on Google Play. It is not on the Amazon store. uidroid is installed manually.
