There are a number of times when my recordings do not play back correctly through the browser or through the Kodi interface.

I can play them fine through VLC on my PC.

In order to fix them, I can run them through a program I found called TS-Doctor which finds errors and they become watchable. I remember when I used to use Beyond TV there was a program that would take new records and cut commercials, fixed the files, or compressed them.

I could be mistaken because it has been a long time but are there any add-ons that might be able to assist me with this issue after a recording is made?

There are several way to do post processing, if the browser playback is something you do often you can enable post processing to a better recording format on the Settings->Transcoder page. The mp4 options would be better for Kodi. These are potentially heavy transcodes though some you might be better off with a remux if you don't really used the browser.

If you don't know much about remuxing maybe start here https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=50387 (I never read it actually) but it is a place to start.

If the problem is corrupt recordings then you probably need a transcoding solution. Better to fix the source IMO

I am surprised that they won't play through Kodi though, next time you have a problem I'd like to get a sample.

It's strange. I can do a playback on Kodi and you can't time skip. It also stops playback and you have to restart playback. Sometimes you can resume where you left off sometimes you have to start all over again and can't skip forward to where it stopped. It typically happens on the IPTV channels but it can happen on my digital tuner for OTA. OTA fails are rare.

That makes more sense, sounds like you have a crappy IPTV provider/source with bad timestamps, You might be lucky with a remux to mp4 or mkv, but a sample would still be helpful.
