Comskip

I have looked and cannot find the answers I am looking for.  I cannot get comskip to work when a recording is done. I have read the wiki and put the donators version of comskip and associated files in the script folder with the existing post processing batch file.  I am using windows 10.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You don't appear to have created the files that are needed yet

Perhaps you read instruction for older versions of NextPVR and used the wrong folder?

You said you read the wiki but I will link to it again https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/Scripts The termplates are bit complicated, but it will be something like

C:\somefolderandpath\comskip.exe %1

ok i just unzipped the folder and the post processing.bat is the same exact one in the script folder. I have put the post processing.bat and the comskip files in the public script as well as the original place. Still does not trigger when a recording is done.

Again, I don't see the logs. However those templates are just that, templates, you need to edit them to make them work. Best to test the batch file running from the command line on an existing file until you get ti working. I personally don't help with batch files for transcoding, xmltv downloading or comskip since the core NextPVR logic works and it is always user specific configuration that fails.

I guess i need help with the batch file, i do not know what to put in it and the readme was not helpful at all. Not much info on how to get the batch file to work, (that i could find)

This is what is in my postProcessing.bat

@echo off
cd /d "C:\comskip"
comskip %1


Don't know if its proper or best way to have it
but it works for me. Maybe it can help you get started.
Where mine says "C:\comskip"
Change that to point to the folder where you have comskip located.
and postprocessing.bat goes in C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\scripts
as mvallevand pointed out.
