I am using Comskip and I think it's working well. I have NextPVR running on a Windows server and I have Kodi running on a bunch of other Windows PCs. Is it true that while playing Recordings within Kodi, it uses the NextPVR Add-on, but since Kodi and NextPVR are using http protocol, the markers present in the *.edl files are not available for doing the skipping? I'm sorry if that's not exactly correct, I'm still learning.
For now, as others have suggested, I am going to have the Kodi clients pull up the actual *.ts files and that seems to do the trick. It's not a huge deal at all, I just was wondering if there was some "trick" perhaps to get comskip to work within Kodi while maneuvering to the Recordings menu? Hopefully this hasn't been addressed a million times and I just missed the FAQ!
