NPVR Crash latest release

Installed latest release this morning & rebooted.

NPVR client crashed whilst attempting playback of recorded programme at 11:38
I do see a lot of SKI errors at 10:18

I don't know the cause of this error

but NextPVR should probably try and handle it before playing the file.

The skia sharp errors look to be be relalted to images that the screen saver can't open. Do you have tif files in your pictures folder if so you might want to remove them from config.xml <PictureLibrary extensions="^.+\.(bmp|jpg|png|tiff|tif)$">

Checked the directory I use for the screensaver pictures and the only files in there are standard JPGs.

We'd probably need to log which jpg files are being called by the screensaver in order to work out which ones trigger the SKI exception.

Restarting the client plays the file that was trying to play when the crash occurred.

The same file played seconds earlier in your logs, so the reinstall probably wasn't necessary. Re-installs of the same version are very rarely going to make a difference. I can only speculate about the problem starting stoping and restarting the same file so quickly.

You can view the picture folder might be faster to see which ones don't load.

Maybe a confusion of terms. I didn't re-install anything. Just restarted the NVPR client.

Just clicked through every picture in the Pictures section (1600+) and everyone loads as it should without error.
Weird.

Maybe install nlite or yauiclient, leave extended logging and verbose mode on and let it run in the background. They should log message to nrecord.log if there is a decoding issue.
