Yes I submitted a report about what I consider a false positive to Microsoft. I believe it is on the icon file. Virustotal basically doesn't complain https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/2678.../detection

If you click on the exe and not the icon does it start?

After the client is starting from the exe is it possible you have a v4 server running? You have 4 local servers running which is quite unusual in a user environment.

Ok since you have a server running 8887 I thought it might have a port 8886 server on it too.

Does notepad %USERPROFILE%\yauiclient.json open a file?

Can you elaborate more on that last request?

Also maybe I did not mention the hanging on exiting from a live channel does not happen all the time. Just every so often. weird.

You could just enter that command on the run prompt or command prompt

If you are considering remote use for an unskilled user if the TV is a smart TV with Android Roku or Web OS i would go with a dedicated UI client over using Windows. If it isn't smart buy an Android device

I have my mother using an android box but I need remote access without any end user intervention. I have found that I can only achieve that with windows. I have her on the uiclient and it has malfunctioned and I am unable to gain access to the box.

Ok but if uidroid is malfunctioning it would be network related or configuration at your end, so remote connections won't help anyway.

If you want to PM me your credential I can check yauiclient to see if I see this problem.
