Guide not showing manually entered scheduled recordings?

I just noticed that if I use the guide to schedule a recording, it immediately change the guide entry's background to red.  At that time I noticed that a Monday-Friday recurring recording I had previously entered manually does not show red even though it listed in the Scheduler.

Is there a setting I need to set?

If they're manual recordings (ie, "record this channel at this time"), and not guide related recordings ("record this show on this channel"), then guide entries are not highlighted. The TV Guide is only showing guide data, and if one of those shows is scheduled to record, then it can affect the color used to show that program in the TV Guide. Manual recordings on the other hand can be random times (and I wasn't going to do things like half color a program in the guide).

OK, I understand. I didn't think to click "Record Series." The results are the same. The show is only on weekdays and I thought I needed to set that up manually specifying Monday-Friday. Clicking "Record Series" highlights each show in the series regardless of recurrence.
