Having a weird issue and can't find any threads on it. When I do a long recording like a 3 hour hockey game the middle gets cut out. I'll be watching and it will be at end of first or just into the second then bam I've got 10 minutes left in the third. I know it's going to happen because a 3 hour game is about a 1:25 video. Happens on more than one channel, i.e. espn, BSN, Big10. Doesn't seem to impact shorter shows like sitcoms, just long things.

For lack of logs I assume IPTV and I assume your provider changes servers. Changing this <UseFinalM3U8>false</UseFinalM3U8> to true might improve things if not get a PVR friendly provider.

Is the file size like a 3 hour recording? It could also be the timeline. The way my Senators play in the second period that sounds like a blessing.

Zipped logs help too.

That's not all of them, use the download logs button from the web setup page, it might go back far enough.

Not sure if they go back far enough but I had the issue in the 12-8 College Hockey game, and the 12-7 Wild v Van game for sure. I can record something tonight as a test if I can find a game.

Not sure why the logs won't post, trying it again.

The logs need to be zipped as provided by the web server and under 2MB. If bigger you need to use external storage like GoogleDrive or OneDrive.

Usually when you use an IPTV channel, it's a series of redirects. ie your original IPTV channel url might redirect to some other url, which might redirect to some other url etc.

By default, NextPVR will follow that chain, starting from the first url every time (every few seconds).

If <UseFinalM3U8> is set to true, it'll remember the end point after the first time, and just go start back to the end url (instead of starting from the original url and following the redirects). It can be a little more efficient to do this. This used to be the default behaviour for IPTV when NextPVR v5 was first released, but some IPTV providers use the redirects for adding security tokens etc, which can change etc, and this wasn't compatible with the idea of just reusing the last redirect, so this system of following the chain each time was introduced.

sub,
thanx for the detailed explanation.
I'm going to play with this to see if my IPTV recordings improve.
